JVC DLA-RS600 Projector Lamp with Ushio NSHA Bulb

Finally got that Ushio bulb from PurelandSupply installed in my JVC, and it feels like a proper, solid replacement. The housing is surprisingly well-made, not some cheap knock-off plastic like I feared. Hopefully, this one lasts as long as the original!

Ordered a replacement lamp for my JVC RS-600U D-ILA projector since JVC has discontinued production of their lamps. Price was very reasonable. The lamp is the same Ushio lamp that JVC uses, not the cheap knock-off lamps that some vendors use which do not last and or are dimmer. I removed my relatively new JVC (300 hours) OEM lamp and installed the Pureland lamp. I was a bit shocked to see that the screen image was noticeably brighter than the OEM lamp. I know that initially lamps get dim really fast for the first few hundred hours and then stabilize so it could be that the OEM lamp had already reached its normal brightness and was dimmer than new. You can opt for second day air for a reasonable fee. The lamp housing is not identical to the JVC lamp, it has some different stamping of lettering on the outside but still fit with no issues as it was physically the same.
